Pudding of stewed apple with a crumbly topping of pastry
80g (3oz.) plain flour
40g (1.5oz.) brown sugar
(2oz.) 50g butter
3 apples
Pinch of cinnamon
A piece of lemonSet oven to 180C (370F). Shift plain flour and sugar in a bowl, and rub in the butter in it to make "crumbs". Slice the peeled apple into 5 mm thick, and place in a tray. Sprinkle with cinnamon and squeeze lemon on sliced apple. Put "crumbs" on sliced apple, and bake for about 40 minutes or until light golden in colour.
